One of the qualities he admires most about the rod is its ability to play big fish. “It was August, late in the day and I was fishing on the Deschutes River just down from Steely Flats. We knew that silver, fresh-run fish were coming into the Deschutes because of its colder water, cascading down the gorge with endless amounts of oxygen.
